What We Read in September!

The books we loved in room 35 and why you should read them to!

September in my classroom was an absolute blast, thanks to this incredible lineup of picture books! From the moment we opened The Boy Who Invented The Popsicle to the hilarious antics in Are You a Cheeseburger?, my students were totally hooked. We laughed out loud at Ice Cream Face and How I Became a Pirate, and heartfelt stories like The Name Jar and Drawn Together sparked thoughtful discussions about identity, family, and friendship. The kids were fully engaged, connecting with characters, exploring big ideas, and even diving into some creative writing inspired by Lady Pancake and Sir French Toast! These books brought so much joy, imagination, and connection into our classroom, making September a month we’ll never forget!

My favorite part of September is National Open The Magic Day. If you did not get a chance to celebrate on September 25th, you can celebrate ANY day. Get all of the info HERE!
